The Sounders hosted their 2026 preseason finale at Longacres on Sunday morning, defeating USL Championship side Louisville City FC 3-1 and 5-0 across two games, however the second match that ended 5-0 was more considered a scrimmage. The first match consisted of starters and the second was a first team and Tacoma Defiance blend.
In the first match, Osaze De Rosario shined once again during preseason. De Rosario was involved in all three goals, where he won the penalty that led to Albert Rusnák’s contribution, and in the second half, he scored a brace. Schmetzer played De Rosario as a striker against Louisville while moving Jordan Morris to the wing.
The game was 1-1 at halftime, where the Sounders conceded an own goal shortly before the halftime break.

De Rosario introduced his ability to Seattle after he signed for the first team last season, particularly his strong performances during Leagues Cup. The 24-year old striker’s continued presence may forecast a significant break-through year in 2026.
For the later 5-0 victory, Sebastian Gomez, Paul Rothrock, Georgi Minoungou, Nikola Petkovi?, and former Ballard FC player Peter Kingston found the back of the net. Goalkeeper Stefan Frei started in the scrimmage, where Andrew Thomas took the first match.
