The Sounders will return to Europe for preseason, specifically Marbella for the fourth consecutive preseason camp. First, the Sounders will play Danish side Bröndby in Almancil, Portugal, at 5am PT on January 23rd, 2026.
Thirteen days later, the Sounders will play Hammarby of Stockholm, Sweden, and Ukrainian side FC Metalist 1925. Both games will kickoff on the same day, February 5th, with the Hammarby game kicking off at 4am PT and the Metalist game kicking off at 7am PT.
In previous years, the Sounders announced live streams for some preseason friendlies, though not all.

Against Hammarby, this will be the third time that the Sounders play the Swedish club in a preseason friendly. Last year’s game ended in a 2-2 draw, and in 2023, Hammarby took the victory with a 3-2 win.
Upon returning from Europe, the squad will return to Longacres to play in the last preseason friendly scheduled, against USL Championship side Louisville City FC on February 15th. Time currently TBD.
In preseason, the Sounders also faced Louisville City last year at Longacres, as well as in 2023 at Starfire, where the Sounders won in both years.

Competitively, the Sounders and Louisville faced off in the 2024 US Open Cup fourth round at Starfire Stadium, ending 2-2 after regulation, and the Sounders advanced 5-4 on penalties.
Louisville snatched a late equalizer to force extra time, and the match ended in a dramatic penalty shootout where goalkeeper Andrew Thomas scored the winning penalty to send Seattle into the next round.
